Nice! I think the Rocky Mountain Star Stare is not too far from there. There's a small lake with dispersed camping near Westcliffe that I might have to go check out.

That's cool! Curiously though, neither town has a clear sky clock listed for them on the clear sky clock website...

Clear Dark Sky shows a few if you look at the map. Green in town and black just outside of town. RMSS has a clock for their location just a little to the south and east and I think it starts tonight and runs through Saturday night.

The video says one of the two towns built an observatory......should be a simple thing for them to get a designated CSC for that location.

I was looking for the names of the towns on the alphabetical listing of Colorado in the clear sky clock website and didn't see them. I didn't know it was under the smokeyjack observatory. Anyeway, glad to know it's there...
