Jon Joseph.

No politics here but I think a few of my colleagues in this community will know of Jon or have even met him at a star party or NEAF.  If you have a Feathertouch focuser you know of him.

A very tragic loss to the Astro-community.  He leaves his wife and 4 kids from 10 to 17 yrs...  Unimaginable loss for them..

Jon and I became good friends about 10 years ago and I'm saddened that i can't go to the memorial service.....

Sad news. I met him at one of the WSP and he helped me out with a feather touch focuser for a TV 85 I had bought used here on AM. It was an older model and didn’t quite fit my scope and the pinion gear didn’t mesh well with the knobs. He took the scope back home and sent it back to me with the base machined to fit perfectly. I think it cost all of $25 bucks and that included shipping back to me. Just had that one interaction with him but he was a really nice guy.
