Trump: US Treasury should get cut of TikTok deal

This is a strange one. Trump is demanding a cut from the proposed sale of TicTok to Microsoft.

"The US president said he made a demand for a "substantial portion" of the purchase price in a phone call at the weekend with Microsoft's boss."

"The United States should get a very large percentage of that price, because we're making it possible," Mr Trump said.

"TikTok's US operations "will close down on September 15 unless Microsoft or somebody else is able to buy it and work out a deal, an appropriate deal so the Treasury… of the United States gets a lot of money," he said."

Sounds like a Mafia boss speaking.

One wonders if this is another attempt at distraction since it hit the news last night that the Federal Court in the Southern District of New York (SDNY) may be investigating US President Donald Trump and his company for insurance and bank fraud.

I heard some of that on the radio this afternoon in my car and thought it was a gag.

Why not just jump on the default position of the cons and state it's another political ploy designed to get Donald Trump out of office...

That plan has merit. Maybe the Treasury could give them a discount for the, let's just call it "compensation" they want to squeeze out of the deal in quarters, because, you know, it's not like quarters haven't always been scarce since at least never. Little or none to be found at the banks around here. They have been limiting me to one roll of quarters a day. Great again? Like when? The Great Depression?

Trump's only job now is to tweet out imaginary orders to nobody that is real like a 15th century king in the final throws of Syphilis.

Go vote for 'em!
The Treasury isn’t part of the executive branch?

So, the House runs the Treasury?

I believe quarters fall under the Federal Reserve, Rich.

Why would anyone entertain a serious question from you when you refuse to answer the simplest questions of all, merely because your answer would underscore the incredible stupidity of Trump's current pre-election excuse for losing biggly.  You fancy yourself to be an independent thinker, but the reality is that you are incapable of publicly separating yourself from DJT's dogma one iota.  You are a sheep, not a man.

I hope people reply to your posts from time to time to continue pointing out your hypocrisy, lies, fabrications, logical fallacies and so on, but I certainly can not see why anyone would  answer any serious question.  You have forfeited that privilege.  In retrospect, since you never engage in polite dialog, you never earned that privilege.
