Wearing a mask isn't a political act.  It's an IQ test.

If YOU wear a mask it is for MY protection, not yours.  If I wear a mask it is for YOUR protection not mine. It's a civic duty matter not a government intrusion on your freedoms...

If we both wear masks the virus transmission possibilities go way, way down. Near zero.  On a broad statistical basis the R-factor gets pushed well below the 1.0 number if everyone in a community wears a mask in certain vital* situations.

*This mask-wearing, in combination with 2-metre distancing, is vital in indoor situations when there are many other people around.  Stores, mass transit vehicles, Planes, the line-up at the DMV etc.  No one is asking you to wear it in your car, or at home or when you are outdoors alone.

The bold statements by anti-mask people just show selfishness, not courage, not rustic patriotism......"Look, everybody!!!  I'm proud that I can spread the disease to others!!!"

Why masks work.  From the Lancet.

I'll go with one of the World's most prestigious medical publications any day over the WHO, an organization steeped in politics.

The WHO lost a lot of credibility with its early handling of the Pandemic, including right here in this forum.

This is what you believe and you can as upset and frustrated as you want, because you can't give me scientific proof that your statement holds water.

Prove it.

I've been working and running around without a mask pretty much everywhere I've gone except some places I've worn it.

According to you, I should be dead.  I'm not, Darian isn't either and he indicated that he's interacted with people whereby he didn't wear a mask and neither did they and he's still here with us.

You can rant and rave all you want in your hysterical fashion because some people choose to live life and take moderate risks.

If you leftists are so terrified of life, and don't want to take any risks, then I suggest you stay home.
Rich, I went to small(11 students) homeschool graduation last night in a local auditorium. I'm guessing that about 125 attended. The crowds were mingling in the lobby and there were very few people wearing masks. No one was maintaining any distance from anyone else. I just do not get the impression that most people around here are overly concerned about this virus. I ran into a cousin(68 years old) of mine earlier today in a Hobby Lobby. He was ill with a slight fever a number of weeks ago and tested positive, but didn't think it was a big deal.

It's my understanding that the death rate from the virus is extremely low. At this point, it really is not something that concerns me other than government policies hindering businesses, churches, etc. from normal activities.

Carry on, America.  Don't wear a mask.  Because Freedom or because they don't work, or because Covid isn't contagious or isn't deadly to most people or because you ain't no chicken or because you're healthy so you won't die from it just some old person you don't even know or....

Attend Graduations and Weddings and any and all other indoor functions among crowds large and small with no distancing and no masks.

It's one thing if a dozen or so amateur astronomers from an out-of-the-way forum where it is rare for 50 people to ever read a post don't wear a mask unless they 'feel like it'.  It is quite another if tens of millions of Americans pursue this risky behaviour all at once.

Congrats, America! You're Number One!!!!
