Low energy costs are key to a good economy.
And you know how much "energy independence" occurred with Trump vs Biden? Trump was in office for four years, Biden has been in office less than a year so by the time Biden finishes his current term, the we may have more energy production under Biden than Trump. We'll just have to wait and see.
As far Biden pleading with others, if you read the title of this thread, you'll see Trump pleaded with others to do the same thing:

Trump achieved energy independence.  Biden went backwards on production. Pressure from environmentalists? Biden, your decisions are costing us a lot of money! Heating oil should be nice and expensive this winter, also! Trump was able to get results jawboning OPEC. I have yet to be convinced that Biden will get anywhere pressuring OPEC.
He has a lot of trouble talking to our press.
