Hello ALL,
We have sotuation where ity appears the head of a Major Nightly News programs in this copuntry, one with Great influence, went with a highly negative story of the President of the USA within 50 days of a Horserace Election in which the documents their story was based on, appear to be FORGERIES. The National News is our WATCHDOG over our Freedoms. If the population believes, a National/International News organization, CBS, was more interested in a negative story, than the authenticity of the documents this story is based is, it is SERIOUS. It is indded a REAL ISSUE. It is a Major issue and does not need to be swept under ther carpet so fast. The public deserves an explaination and I have heard too little that I feel good about that Dan Rather has said on this. No one, not even the President of the United States of America, is above the law. No one. I for one, would like to know exactly where these documents came from.

...he's nothing but a distraction; there is no shortage of real reasons to go after Bush. Unfortunately much of the media (and the electorate) has all the critical thinking ability of a turnip, and will ignore the elephant in the living room.

I am sorry that I am not as Intellegent as yourself otherwise I would debate you. As for being a Turnip, odd sort of thing to call someone. Here's how I feel about your man Kerry. Please Read:
My brother wasa dyslexic, however we did not know it at the time. I think peopl just figured he was a turnip. He finally dropped out of High School and joined the National Guard. During training he had a Spontaneous Pnuemothorax (Lung Collapsed) and he was given a Medical Discharge. He then jpoined the US Army by using an assumed name. He fought in the Ifantry,Americal Division 1969-70 in VietNam. These guys Fought. 2 weeks before he would have finished his year tour he wrote on his notepad in a letter to the family that a number of kids were brining them water. I have the notepad with the letter still in the notepad. After writing the letter he was ambushed, shot in the chest andf died in a Medivac Helicopter. John Kerry in 1971-72 spoke of the Barbartian American soldiers. My brother was no barbarian. I do hope John Kerry loses this election.

IIRC, the courts have absolved the media of any need to tell the truth. They are NOT our watchdog, WE are the only watchdog. The national News is a buisness. Their agendas are not for the public good but for their own good. They try to convince us that the goals are the same but they are not the same.
