Horizons

Does anyone "think" that there may be any sort of existence other than in human form, not including classical ideas such as heaven, hell, soul or spirit? Is it conceivable that there are realms of existence that may be unknown to us because of our tenacious grasp of what we think we know 'for sure'? When I look at the Hubble deep field photos, I have to feel as if there's more than just birth and death. Can we extrapolate past the theory that we are Stardust?
