I'm just curious if there are any Formula 1 fan here? I accidentally stumbled on it one Sunday morning earlier this year and have kept up with it ever since. The season is over and will not start up until March.

Formula 1 is so advanced the cars really don't slide around much. They learn the limits of the corners. Any speed beyond that and the cars mostly just leap off the track. I liked the old manual transmissions more than the autos. Bring them back!

Mel, it's my understanding that the F1 cars are designed to have incredible downforce to increase traction. The faster they go the more downforce.

It amazes me that they can make a pit stop in less than 2.5 seconds. I wonder how much those tires cost?

Those guys are INSANE!

The crowds are even crazier.  I saw one guy seemed to just miss a spectator and the spectator didn't even jump out of the way.

They sure get close to those drivers and they do it in the mud, where you can lose control easily?

I wouldn't get with 100 feet of the cars.   If one of them wrecks and comes your way, Its a 1500 pound missile!!

The cars were different from each other and the driver did it all.  I stood next to a 60's Ferrari. My best car experience. Whirring, spinning, unbelievable exhaust.
