Geography for College Presidents

Today is the last great day of college football. After this season, the conferences will officially no longer make sense. A bunch of pointy headed ivory tower college professors and money grubbing sports marketing people will be making a mockery of all the conferences from here on out.

Here is some basic geographic and cultural information for college professors and college presidents:
* Missouri is neither South nor East.
* San Diego is not in the East.
* Wyoming is also not in the East.
* Texas is not in the East and only sort of in the South. It's got too much self-esteem to really be in the South.
* West Virginia is not in the west or mid-west.
(WVU fans don't get to travel for free.)
* Pittsburgh is located in Pennsylvania and is near Ohio and West Virginia.
* Syracuse is in upstate New York and should probably play Canadian football.

Additional clues:
Virginia and North Carolina ARE in the South.
West Virginia gets along well with Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
San Diego is in California so they should play teams in the west.
Wyoming has cowboys and Texas has cowboys so they should probably play in the same conferences.
