How about those Detroit Lions. They just beat Cleveland for their 2nd win this year and the 3rd in the past 31 games-going back to the last half of 2007. We don't and can't afford another 1st round pick! We will be using-up the salary cap on just a handfull of players. They always seem to draft a quaterback or wide receiver for theie 1st pick. They needed a running back since Barry Sanders retired and they pasted up on Adrian Peterson to get Calvin Johnson who is outstanding-but always is double or tripled teamed while the other guys are open-but don't get the ball. A superstar running back comes around every decade-and The Lions are paying the price for not drafting him. Barry Sanders averaged 5 yards a carry for 10-years. Why not a 1st down every other play? That would make the receivers that more dangerous if Adrian Peterson was to play for Detroit. Where is all the high draft pick's in the past 10-years? Either on other teams or not in the NFL. We will see if Matt Stafford or Calvin Johnson are still with Detroit in the next few years. Sorry if I'm negative-but we have won only 1 playoff game in 52-years and only appeared in a few of them. Who knows-but maybe Detroit will get their act together, but I hate to be around the 2010 NFL Draft when its the Lions turn for their pick!

They'll probably end up getting Sam Bradford. Three Heisman winners to come out of the state of Oklahoma (Steve Owens, Billy Sims, and Barry Sanders) have been drafted by the Lions.
