Hi Everyone,

Here are a few more images of southern nebulae.

This one is RCW58, a mass of gas ejected from a Wolfe-Rayet star in the constellation Carina.

Combination of 30 minutes red, 30 minutes green, and 30 minutes Blue, using 3 minute subframes. 300mm f/6 newtonian. SBIG STL1001E CCD.

This is NGC 6726 in Corona Australis. This is a mass of dark nebulosity, lit up by hot young stars embedded within it. The globular cluster is NGC 6723.

Combination of 30 minutes unfiltered, using 3 minute subframes. 300mm f/6 newtonian. SBIG STL1001E CCD.

This one is IC 2948, AKA The Running Chicken nebula in Centaurus. There is some confusion regarding this object. It is sometimes labelled as IC 2944, but that designation more properly refers to the embedded cluster of stars.

Combination of 60 minutes H-alpha, using 5 minute subframes. 5" f/5 refractor. SBIG STL1001E CCD.

This is the same image as previous, but with colour added by combining the H-alpha image with the colour data from a DSLR image taken with the same telescope.
