So newby at CCD image processing here. Alright, so I have Dark subtracted and flat fielded, but my image looks very very messy still. There is tons of noise. Is this normal? What do I need to do to get rid of this and make the sky in the background of the galaxy look fairly normal? Thanks.

NOTE: I am only concerned with B&W imaging here, so I am not worried about RGB or an of that. The image of NGC 4051 is attatched. Thanks.

Hi Tyler,
Is this photo a single frame? If so, you are not getting enough signal to get through the noise...
