Double Cluster

Nothing real special here. Its just that in early in February I was out intending to image some narrow field objects. However, the seeing was poor. So rather then packing up and going home, I decided to image some wide field subjects that would be more tolerant of the seeing. I imaged the Double Cluster - here is a mid sized thumbnail version of the result.

Full size image and exposure / processing details are available at: (be sure to click on the page image for a full size version)

The image is a two frame mosaic taken with my Megrez II and my ToUcam SC3 camera.

This is a pretty shot, Jim. Clusters are fun to image.

Nice job - Cal

Excellent job as always. Did you do any kind of star-shaping? They look really nicely soft (the good kind of soft, not the out-of-focus kind of soft).

It looks great... time well spent on a less than perfect night!
