Clear skies last night, have telescope will shoot grin
18x10 minute exposures with 167mm F8 refractor. Moon was full, lots of local light pollution from nearby big box stores, but managed to capture a dozen or so faint galaxies around the area.

Wow, it never hurts to observe regardless! So I looked up M88 in The Year-Round Messier Marathon Field Guide (Willman-Bell 1997, 98, 99) and see I had found an erratum on p. 134 and corrected that in the margin? The 8x50 finder sim erroneously labels the finder field for M88 as M84-86. Now I'm trying to remember how and when I noticed that! If I'm correct, it got thru 3 printings undetected. If anyone can confirm/deny my margin note, please let us know! I can see where a mistake like that could possible trip someone up right in the middle of a Marathon? Anyway, nice picture, Rolando. I LOVE galaxies! Tom

Ahh, very nice. I too prefer galaxies, and most deep sky images in monochrome.

Now, a 167mm F8 refractor? Where did THAT come from? Typo or real? Old glass? New glass? Totally out of interest sake. My 180 stays!
