NGC 2359 - Thor's Helmet

This object just barely rises above the muck of my local light pollution but I still thought I'd give it a try.

AP155/7, ST-10 and 6nm H-alpha filter. Six, fifteen minute frames.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I really appreciate them.

My new, blue filter arrived today so it's cloudy and raining as expected. A flat from my light box looks perfect however so I hope to get some color frames soon.

Beautiful. The amount of extended nebulosity is amazing.
