Hi all. I took this image last night under the light polluted skies of my home in Orem, Utah. It is my first attempt at the Pleiades. It could use more work but it is not bad for a start.

No Pleiades image that I have seen can compare to Jeff Hapeman's beautiful recent post of this object, which sets the standard IMHO.

Hi,

Have not seen Jeff's image. I must say yours is very nice.

"The expression of the beautiful is in direct ratio to the power of perception acquired by the artist."

love the quote .... If I had said it I would have added the words "appreciation and" before the word expression. It is very true. Sadly, most of us do not spend enough time enhancing our powers of perception.
