Strange image results

Hi Everyone,

I was trying to use a schmidt-cassegrain for CCD imaging recently but had a strange problem.  On the images, it looked like the stars were way out of focus when it fact that was not the case.

If you look at the attached image, it looks just like a far out of focus star, yet in the centre of the image is the actual almost focused star. In nearly 20 years of CCD imaging, I have never seen anything like this.

Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?
