Corona midway

From Casper Wyoming, shot with 130GDX Starfire refractor, by Marj Christen, processed by me, 5 shots @ 1/250 second and 3 shots @ 1/100 second layered in Photoshop, Sony NEX7 camera. We had thin high altitude cloud that appeared just as totality occurred. Although it obscured the outermost corona, it added some faint rainbow colors to the corona and especially to the diamond ring.

This is my first attempt at combining some Jpegs. I will eventually process the Raws which should produce better dynamic range.

Hi, Rolando. Those are, of course, SPECTACULAR! We were at my friend's house in Bar Nunn, just north of you. We got decent shots and maybe a ~hint~ of shadow bands video. From there, a somewhat pesky cirrus was right there and scattered a lot, but the view was still wonderful. I officially christened my Zeiss 20x60 IS on the eclipse. Also saw a bunch of NASA guys and Greg, from FLI. Tom

Beautiful sequence, Rolando! Can't wait to see the version with combined raws! It's amazing the differences in the prominences across time - you shot your eclipse sequence (in Wyoming) ahead of mine in Kentucky, and there is an obvious difference in the prominences between the two shots.
