i may have overdone it a bit, I did the processing on my laptop and haven't been able to check it on a real computer display yet. i will readjust as necessary. I re-mosaiced using slightly higher res images, and did a better job smoothing the joints. Then applied some unsharp masking and then re-tweaked the brightness/contrast. finally, I filled in the empty spots in the black background. may be a little dim yet.

Hi Andrew.

I am impressed at how well you have managed to eliminate the joins between images. When I tried to compile a similar mosiac I could not get rid of the joins. Too much difference in the light levels between each image.

Any suggestions?

Very nice. I think you are the limit of what sharpening can add to the image. Lots of detail, very good contrast.

Andrew! What mount are you using with your 11"? Are you set up for Deep sky? Others and Myself, are patiently awaiting some images off this camera. So far this is all Ive found.
And of course the couple on SBIG.
Look forward to seeing some if your set up is capable.
Nice Luna image...
