Hi: I recently purchased a Canon 60D and had it modified by Hap Griffen to do astrophotography. I was wondering what settings people use to get started e.g. ISO number, RAW vs JPEG, white balance, etc. I will be using the camera with an NP 101 and collecting five minute subs. Thanks, Bill Caspe

Depends on ambient temp. If hot (above 60F), maybe try ISO 800 for 3 min. If cold, you can go to ISO 1600. Also shoot in RAW. In RAW there is no need to worry about white balance. Don't forget dark and flat frames!
