Here are a couple of recent cloud photos. We have had a very stormy summer and have seen lots of spectacular cumulo-nimbus. This sunset shot is just as the camera saw it... no filters or enhancements.

Here is a nice thunderstorm seen from afar. You could still hear the rumble of thunder despite the 20-mile distance.

Anybody else have some good cloudscapes from your neighborhood?

Those are great, John.
Here's a recent panoramic compilation I shot at Bryce, to get the full length of this long cloud.
The color faded a bit on me while I ran back to the car to get my replacement battery. Argh!

When I took the family to the Grand Canyon in July of 2005, I saw this cloud formation and had to shoot it. This was my very last picture of the canyon and it was taken from Yaki Point.

Cool shot John. I had some neat clouds, but not sure where they ended up buried.

Here is a cloudscape from aloft; a shot from a Boeing 737 somewhere over Indiana, looking southwest. The plane was between two layers of clouds at sunset, the uppermost layer catching the light. The clouds are the trailing edge of a front headed east.
