I found my avatars grazing up on Mt Evans, west of Denver at 14,000ft.

So cool that you could get close enough to even take a shot with long lens!

Hi John:

Gorgeous!

The goats on Mt. Evans are so cool. Here's my version from about 4 summers ago.

I've seen goats a few other places in Colorado, but never as often as on Mt. Evans. Once my elder son (about 12 at the time) and I were climbing a peak named Quandry near Breckenridge. A big male goat was right in the middle of the trail with a couple of little ones behind him. He was not going to move and he was looking at us with a lowered head. We skirted around him, giving him a wide bearth. He eyed us the whole way around. It was kind of scary for me, because I knew that if he charged I would have to take the hit for my little team.

How about that shedding! There's a big difference between the weather on Evans in August and January!
