Cars of the 60s Unreliable

I can't believe how unreliable cars of the 60s must have been. I went to the Sears Auto Center a couple of weeks ago and there must have 30 or 40 old cars in the parking lot with their hoods up. These were the Camaros. What junk... wink

I know what you mean Lee. I feel very sorry for the people who have to drive them.

THOUGH...My 85 Ford F250 managed over 600,000 miles on the old 460 FE block (2 rebuilds) ...the last incarnation "mine" included roller rockers, Keith Black Pistons, a custom cam after flow analysis, crank, rod, piston ballancing, and blue printing, MSD 7 Ignition etc (a very long list)....

385 ft-lb tourque at an idle (800 RPM) 585 ft-lb at 3800 RPM, 560 HP at 4600 RPM...

My old F250 was like a rocket powered locomotive getting on the highway grin

It is what it is...
