I saw this VW Beetle the other day and thought it looked pretty good.

I have several telescopes, but none are semi-APO, APO, or in anyway valuable.

Nice looking little Bug. Looks about a 69 or 70 model. I owned two back in college, and had a love-hate affair with both. They were economical and they were cheap and easy to work on. However, I was constantly working on them, regularly having to set the points, adjust the valves, replace the throttle cable, replace the steering damper, and fix numerous other Bug anomalies--all on a regular basis. Hot in the summer and cold in the winter, and not much in the way of a defroster. I remember having to use a DC hair dryer to keep the windshield clear in winter. In their defense, I suppose I probably drove them a bit harder than they were meant to be driven.

But my dad dearly loved VW Beetles. He's always been something of a minimalist, so they held a special appeal to him. He once rebuilt one from the wheels up just for fun.
