When somebody says the American car companies never offered small cars, we can say au contraire mon frere...

I remember the Ramblers... In the 40's and 50's American car companies did offer some very small cars, the Nash Metropolitan, the various Crosleys.

Rambler was an offshoot of Nash but the cars were built in England, at least for a time.
