Hi -

I posted this to the solar system forum the other day - thought I would share it here too. This is Roland's 10" f14.6 with a 23% central obstruction set up on an A/P 900 mount and portable pier. I often mount a 4" traveler on the top dovetail bar for star parties - the contrast in focal length is great fun visually.

This is my primary planetary imaging platform - I use a Baader FFC or barlow for focal lengths from 7-12 meters, depending on the subject. Shown here is a 1.5" travel starlight auxilliary focuser which is a nice convenience for critical focusing on our coldest Buffalo winter nights.

best -
Alan

Hey, there's no meniscus in that Mak! I wonder how Roland got the secondary to just float like that? wink

Beautiful scope!

hi there,

I have attached an image displaying my scopes an me.
the main scope is a 9" f/9 Tmb Apo designed as folded refractor.
secondary scopes are: 5" Tmb Apo f/9 and a Solarscope from Coronado (<0,5A)

I use the Tmb Apos for planetary and lunar imaging as well as for deepsky imaging.
the coronadoscope of course is for h-alpha observation of the sun.

find some pics taken with these telescopes here:

... I wait with anticipation for the opportunity to take this scope off your hands for a fair-market price. 8)
