Looks nice. What is the base price on one of those? I retire in about a year and have been looking at different 20-24 footers to hit the open road with.

Nice rig John. I almost wouldn't mind replacing my pop-up with a Casita. You can pack a lot stuff in it that I can't put in my Pop-up while it's on the road.

I used trailers for quite a while. Had a few self contained ones and drove about 50,000 miles one year pulling a trailer across the US and Mexico.
But after many years I decided to try a Motorhome. First one was OK, but it was not in the best condition, so I only kept it about 4 years. Got rid of it and got another trailer and coverted it to an Observing trailer. That I used for two years, then the wife and I decided to go for another motorhome. That I now use every month and it does make it easy. The great thing about the motorhome vs. trailer is that you have everything inside to make it comfortable and you have a lot of storage underneath for all your equipment.
The only downside is that you have no alternate transportation when you arrive, unless you tow something.
But trailer or morothome, either one makes a longer stay so much nicer.

I finally had weather for a 5 night outing to dark skies at Ft Griffin SHS, Texas. The "Moonlight Manor" was very comfortable and made "all-nighters" survivable. Looking forward to TSP, RMSS, Okie-Tex and ESP.

I just got back from the Rocky Mountain Star Stare (RMSS) and the Moonlight Manor was very comfortable. I think this has been the best piece of "astro-gear" I have bought in a long time.
