I noticed that a lot of the .22 target pistols these days come with a built in rail for a scope.

Do any of you guys use scopes or red-dot sites on your handguns? Are they worthwhile?

I have several telescopes, but none are semi-APO, APO, or in anyway valuable.

It has been years but I had a MK11 Ruger with a 4 power Burris pistol scope. Extremely narrow field of view but very accurate at 25 yards, a little to much mag in my opinion. Best friend has a 44 mag. Ruger with a 2x Leopold which has a better field of view. Burris did make a 1X pistol scope years ago, don't know if they still do but that would be my pistol scope choice if I was to every go that route again. I have shoot a 22 rifle with the red dot and that was an interesting alternative, think I personally prefer a cross hair. I think the red dot would allow quicker shopts and the scope would be more precise. What do you intend to mount it on and do with it?
