Examining a used firearm

Is there anything that you guys particularly look for when examining a used firearm prior to making a purchase? 8O Besides being unloaded grin , what do you look for cylinder play, trigger pull, etc. I've got my eye on a S&W Model 10 revolver at a local store.

I have several telescopes, but none are semi-APO, APO, or in anyway valuable.

Plenty more, have it checked by a good gunsmith if you are uncertain. Cylinder timing among the expensive and serious defects.
