Commitment Hour, James Alan Gardner. The author's preoccupation with peepees and weewees is incredibly boring and juvenile. Yuch.

"--Granted, that's a worse case scenario. The destruction might in fact be ... limited to our own galaxy."

This book falls in the fantasy category. Robert Jordan's Book 10 of the Wheel of Time series "Crossroads of Twilight". A more appropriate name would be Crossroads to Nowhere. Nothing happens. 600 pages of nothing. I have tried for two years to finish this book. Everytime I pick it back up I make it through 10 pages and give up. If I ever finish it I can read the final book of the series, but even that's not enough motivation.
