What is Gain?

Posted By jim phillips

Hello everyone. When I am imaging with my Toucam Pro I play with the gain to get the best image on the screen before I start actually recording the AVI. Can anyone explain "gain"? Should I try tor higher gain with lower brightness or the reverse? Thanks for any help.

Got up at 3:00. Seeing was not great. Here is my first O.K. image with the 8" F/9 TMB. Better color but not the detail I was able to capture Friday night.

Kies and Lunar Domes last night

The crater Kies with associated lunar domes last night. Lunar domes are low blister-like swellings on the surface of the moon and of volcanic origin.
