Daguerre and co.

Posted By jim phillips

Here is an image of Daguerre and an un-named feature to the NW (left) which looks very similar. A portion of a ray can be seen traveling left to right on the left side of the image.

Saturn this morning

Posted By jim phillips

I got up at 4:15 AM to try to image Saturn knowing it was supposed to go from partly cloudy to mostly cloudy. When I got up it was mostly clear. By the time I was set up it was getting very cloudy. Hazy as well. i was able to get one O.K. image. It's a little grainy but I'm happy particularly given the way all the other images turned out. :S

Saturn this morning

Not the best seeing but after getting up at 2:00 AM and drinking 3 cups of coffee only to see the clouds roll in I was happy when several hours later it finally cleared off!
