Since I am not a yank, of course I do not vote in your elections

Rod, Rod, Rod,

Don't you realise yet that it is just a liberal hoax?  The Great Leader has said so many times so it must be true.  He has also said that the only reason there are lots of cases is because if all the testing.  If the testing was stopped there would be no more cases.  (snark mode off)

Trump Gallup up 6 to 49 Disapproval Down 7

Posted By Maurice Clark

Hi Rod,

Trump certainly does seem to be in trouble at this point.  However, the election is still several months away, so there is plenty of time for things to change, and change in either direction. And, of course, the big question is turnout.  Polls are no help if people do not go and vote.  Perhaps this is why some republican states are making it harder for people to vote.

Trump Gallup up 6 to 49 Disapproval Down 7

Hi Rod,

I wonder if richie even bothered to look at the article he linked to.  The way he described, it made it seem like it was that Australian news that claimed Biden was hiding in his basement. In fact, it was one of trump's legal advisors who made that claim.

I guess it shows just how desperate trump's toadys are getting.

Still, the election is still a long way off and it also depends on turnout.

That's why Trump is terrified by mail-in voting:

Hi Rod,

What is really funny about trump's opposition to mail-in voting is that he has voted that way in the past few elections!

Comet 2020f3 NEOWISE

Posted By Maurice Clark

Finally had a (partially) clear morning and managed to get my first look at this comet.  Very impressive in 20x80 binoculars.  If you haven't seen it yet, well worth getting up for.  Best comet we have had for some time. It should be visible in the evening sky as well in the next few days.

The photo is a 2-second image in bright twilight with my 5" refractor.

Hi Jim,

Here, only about half the people are wearing masks in the supermarkets and a lot of the staff do not wear one. In the bank it is the same, despite the bank having a notice on its door asking customers to wear one.  None of the tellers are wearing one.

I see in Victoria, the number of cases has surged since they lessened the restrictions. As a result, they have re-imposed them and the other states have closed their borders to Victorians.

Here is a link to what has happened in Israel since they ended their lookdown.

"After weeks of harsh lockdowns that put one million people out of work, Mr Netanyahu was in a hurry to restart Israel's economy.

So Israelis returned to work, to beaches, to gyms and, critically, to school.

It was the last move particularly that proved to be a deadly mistake."

Maybe a warning for the US with Trump pushing hard for schools to re-open?

Stay safe.
