Starting an Astronomy ClubPosted By Daryl Crowley |
Thanks for the tips.
The nearest clubs to us are closer to 2 hours. Were half way up the west coast of Michigan. I initially was looking for some folks to just share the hobby with but it's kind of evolved from there. We are thinking we might do some field trips to some of the star parties at the bigger clubs. Mostly I would like to find some people to share the experience with and I really would love to turn anyone, especially young people, on to the wonders of the universe.
I was hoping maybe someone would know of any Internet resources that would provide a starting checklist of things to do or provide. I'm always looking to not re-invent the wheel. I've done a lot of instruction in other disciplines so I can wing it but I would love some short cuts.
