Kurt,
On a previous thread (6-10-03) you asked how I like the Panasonic DMC-FZ1. It's a great little camera. It is fast to spool up and has a good frame rate. The lens is awesome. 35-420mm f/2.8 equivelant and IS. Now that I bought a Canon 10D, I still keep the FZ1 on my lap driving around in case I need something fast. Or I let my son trek around behind me with it. At 2 megapixels, what you shoot is what you get -- not much cropping. It is great for birding etc. fast, small, easy.

Poor mother has been hanging tough. Her nest is on a Crape Myrtle branch, hanging four feet off the ground right next to my pool. The kids splash water playing basketball in the pool and my dog is always trying to get her. Hopefully her work is almost done.
