Jupiter - 01/19 Oval BA and Ganymede

Posted By Christopher Go

Here is my best image of Jupiter for the season. A lot of activity in Jupiter at this time. The Oval BA is interacting with a small spot. There is a dark feature at the NTB. A white spot at the EB next to the blue festoon. As a bonus, Ganymede is on the upper left side of Jupiter.

Chris

Jupiter and GRS- 01/29 PERFECT CONDITIONS!

Posted By Christopher Go

Well, it was one of those nights where you feel you might just be in outer space! Seeing was 9/10!! Jupiter hardly moved in my AVI. To top it all the GRS is close to the CM and a lot of activity in Jupiter!! As a puzzle, can anyone help me find Europa in this image! It is suppose to be at the NTrZ. I suspect the white spot just below the NEZ.

Jupiter 2/16 Boring Side but with Perfect Seeing

Posted By Christopher Go

Here's my latest image of Jupiter on a night of exceptional seeing. Transparency was around 4/5 due to Volcanic Aerosol from the Anahatan Volcano. More info at:

Jupiter with Io and the GRS

Posted By Christopher Go

Hello,

Tonight seeing was 9/10 with 5/5 transparency!! Finally!! Transparency has been terrible here for the past few weeks because of Volcanic aerosols from the Anatahan Volcano!

The GRS is close to the CM. There seems to be some white spots in it. Note the spots at the SPR. The spots to the left of the GRS is also interesting and very prominent. The rift following the GRS is very messy and there is a bright spot to the lower right of the GRS.

Can't wait for more nights like this!

Jupiter 2/20 GRS on another Perfect night!

Posted By Christopher Go

Hello,

Another great night. Seeing was great at 9/10 with 5/5 transparency. Many activity in Jupiter. Note the red barge in the NEB. There is even a small red spot to the left of the GRS. The NEB is filled with rifts and white spots. There are even spots in the EB.

Jupiter is as exciting as ever!
