Clamshell adapter for Orion/Skywatcher.

Posted By Art Ciampi

You can use the narrow Orion dovetail bar attached to the tube Takahashi tubeholder. You have to drill and tap 8mmx1.25 holes 35mm on center in the dovetail bar.

Then you can mount the tube holder to the Orion dovetail.

Erector image of 2" with Tak FS60 CB.

Do you have the 2" ocular adapter?

Let me try this on a 2" Amici we have here first. Ours is a Vernonscope.

It all depends on how much back focus the Amici prism takes up.

The back focus for your telescope is: 182mm

EM200 USDII Question

Posted By Art Ciampi

The conversion of a USD II requires the soldering of connections as compared to the USD III with plug in connectors. We have spare encoders and encoder couplings as well encoder brackets, but it would be difficult to solder the encoders to the internal electronics. sad

E-160/flattner/DSLR

Posted By Art Ciampi

The metal back distance for the E-160 corrector is 56mm. You are past that point. You need the TMW0004 Canon EOS connected directly to the Canon camera.

You current set up is too long. You need the EOS wide mount
threaded into the corrector and the Canon EOS camera attached to
the wide mount adapter.
