Yes the spacing is the same and the bolts are 8mm x 1.25 pitch.

NJP Discontinued

The NJP has not been discontinued. It is now called the NJP model Z.

The mount base has been chagned to use the same base as the EM-400. It will use the EM-400 tripods which are identical to the NJP except for the tripod which is different.

The new list price is $7995.

The NJPZ T-2 is the new evolved NJP currently in production. The is the current new model of the NJP. It uses the EM-400 mounting base, uses the EM-400 counter weight arrangement with 8kg weights and uses the EM-400 tripod. Would you like to order one! Always glad to oblige.

If you find you need to draw out further to reach focus, you can purchase part TKA2350 from any of our dealers. This tube is 72mm x 2" extension. It is extremely rigid and will prove to be great for your visual needs.

Re-issue Certificates

The warranty is good to the original owner. We keep track of all Takahshi equipment sold so this blue inspection certificate is not needed for warranty work to the original owner.

Reticle illuminator

The reticle illuminator is attached to two heavy wire that allows it to be placed over the hole in the shaft. Remove the front cover from the polar telescope, turn the Dec. axis to move the hole over the telescope objective and move the illuminator with a pencil eraser.

Then adjust he brightness with the small nylon cross pint screw located to the right of the On/Off Switch labeled P-Light control.
Turn the inset screw slowly and carefully to adjust eh brightness.
