Final Thoughts...

Posted By Jim E. Gleason

well...it`s the big day...and i see where, if the Pats win, some are saying that they`ll be the best team of all time...wish i had a dollar for every time i`ve heard this phrase/kind of hype...best season of all time?...maybe...but best team?...more about that in a moment...

i also see where some are trying to back this by pointing out all the records the Pats tied/broke.

if i may give the other side/opinions on this...this is what i hear from those old enough to have seen the NFL dynasties of the 50`s and since...and, after hearing all their great points, and then seeing what i`ve seen over the past 40 yrs. and so on and so forth, etc., i`m not so sure that they`re wrong.

1st, how many of these records do the Pats still tie or break without running up the score so many times...fattening up both their team and individual stats?...

or, to put it another way, how many are broken if every great team ran up the score every chance they got, also?...other than the obvious ones that would not have been broken, for ex., would Brady still have broken the TD Pass record by only the slimmest of margins?...would Moss still have broken the TD Rec. mark?...would certain starters have even still been on the field to get a chance to break another record or 2?

and i won`t bring up cheating to get these records wink grin ...since it really hasn`t been proven...yet!...

best team of all time?...honestly...how many Pats starters would you take over the starters on those great Steeler teams of the 70`s...it`s a bit close on off...but on def., that, 'Steel Curtain', def., which consistently finished at the top of several statistical categories, was far better at almost every pos. than these no. 12 ranked Pats. in the modern watered-down NFL...because of expansion, many of these players wouldn`t even be playing in the NFL 40 yrs. ago.

heck, they barely have the Giant def. beat...if at all...according to many experts...

in the opinions of many, several of the same things stated about the Steelers could be said about the 72 Dolphins who finished the yr. breaking numerous rushing records...and without running up the score on anyone...and with the no. 1 def., the Packer, etc., dynasty of the 60`s, 49er, etc., dynasty of the 80`s, and the Cowboy/49er dynasties of the 90`s...at each pos., who`d you rather have - the Pats player or the player when comparing to one of these teams?...

also, please note that each of these dynasties had better teams to beat, sometimes in the form of other dynasties at the same time, to get to and win as many SB`s as they did.

for ex., the 70`s Steelers had not only the Raiders, bur Cowboys, Vikings, Rams, etc, to beat out...

all were winning dynasties who made the playoffs almost every yr. that decade...and they/most had outstanding defs...with the , 'Purple People Eaters', of the Vikes, 'Fearsome Foursome', of the Rams, and, of course, the Dallas Doomsday Def...

the Steelers, (or any team from this group), had to beat or beat out all these other teams during the reg. season, in the playoffs, or in 4 SB victories...in the case of the Steelers...

these days, all i see is a few good teams, a bunch of around ave. teams and a bunch of crappy teams making up the NFL.

the Pats simply took advantage of the system the most, drafted smarter than everyone else, picked up just the right free agents, etc., to build a team that`s a little better than all the rest...hence, the undefeated season...but with several close calls/games, especially in the 2nd half of the season, etc...

up to now...because of the way it`s going and, the NFL`s, 'copycat', nature, i predict another undefeated season by someone in the next 5 yrs. or less...maybe even the Pats again...unless it`s revealed they cheated far more than anyone realizes right now...

but all this really means very little as far as today`s game goes...throw out all those Pat records...because once they step on that field, all that matters is who wants it more, who executes better, and who makes less costly mistakes...my only guarantee is that whoever`s motivated enough to do this combination of things better will win the game...to the extent they do it better is to the extent it will be a blow-out...

now, for anyone who thinks it`s impossible for the Giants to win, just take a look at how easy the Giants could win,

still just hoping for a good game, smile 8)

The Truth About BHO`s Speech in Berlin!

Posted By Jim E. Gleason

Please be sure to read the comments below this article. 8)

http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/07/27/200000-germans-love-a-free-rock-concert/

An excerpt:

"...While coverage of Senator Obama’s Berlin speech provided audiences here at home nothing less than a visual, “shock and awe”, it neglected to mention that the well-hyped speech had an opening act: a gratis concert by two wildly popular groups, Reggae artist Patrice and rock band Reamonn (pictured below).

“While we appreciate the Obama Campaign’s hospitality, on behalf of furthering US international relations, offering free bratwurst, pizza and even beer for three hours during the free rock concert, we question whether or not the monies might have been better spent here on financially strapped US citizens.

“Furthermore the Just Say No Deal Coalition identifies this pattern as deceptive to media consumers. Similarly, back on May 20, 2008 in Portland, Oregon, the critically acclaimed local band Decemberists performed a rare free concert prior to Senator Obama’s appearance, (note: there are no reports of free refreshments being served during this appearance.).

While news stories generated by both appearances focused on the enormity of the crowd size, few reports mentioned the accompanying perks, leaving some to question whether revelers are showing up for Senator Obama or for free food and entertainment.

Without this additional information, Just Say No Deal contends that Americans are being misled about the presumptive Democratic nominee’s true popularity.”

Gee, for Free Beer, Free Pizza, 2 Free music concerts, etc., even I would go to a BHO speech...but certainly not to listen to Obama!

With only 143 days and only 2 bills passed in Congress,

A Very Special E-Mail!!!

Hello everyone,
> As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass

> As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and

Why am I posting this e-mail?...because this is another BO article which broke...but then, as Tom R. probably already knows, it was later mostly debunked!!!

GEE!...Let`s see now...who am I going to believe?...this soldgier`s 1st account of the event to his family, etc., or the MSM who protects this BO like he`s their kid and the next Messiah or something!...

Like he states...the MSM is fake...don`t believe a word from them...After receiving this e-mail last night, I certainly won`t!

But, yet another BO story which none of you can be entirely sure of...regardless of the source...if the MSM`s protecting him to this extent...then anyone else could be too!!!

It also further illustrates how/why one`s articles can not really be debunked where BO`s involved...not with the media in his hip pocket like they are!!

As an ex., here`s just one media account of the event?...or events?...and cover-ups?...and debunked cover-ups?...and so on!

One must ask why it is...there`s been several different accounts of recent BO activities?...or is it non-activities?...with the 1st accounts always trying to be debunked...also, why is the media, etc., in such a frenzy to protect this Ignoramus???!

Obama Without a Teleprompter

Posted By Jim E. Gleason

WITHOUT A TELEPROMPTER:

1. Obama on Vetting

"Now look, the, the, ah, ah, ah, I mean the uh first of all uh I, I, I am not vetting my VP search committee for their mortgages so you're going have to uh d-direct... Well, nah I mean becomes sort of a... um... I mean this is a game that can be played everybody... It who is tangentially related to our campaign I think is going to have a whole host of relationships. I would have to hire the vetter to uh vet the vetter."

Huh?

2. BO on the cost...on the cost...of drilling I think!

"What they’ll say is, ‘Well it costs too much money,’ but you know what? It would cost about… It, it would cost about the same as what we would spend… It - over the course of ten years it would cost what it would cost us… (Giggle) All right. Okay. We’re going to… It would cost us about the same as it would cost for about - hold on one second. I can’t hear myself. But I’m glad you’re fired up, though. I’m glad.”(Giggle)

Huh?...maybe this is what cocaine does to one`s brain!...if this should happen during 1 of BO`s meetings with a foreign leader accusing him of deception or something... 8O 8O 8O

3. Obama on his Mentor/Spiritual Adviser:

"There-there-there, no no no, uh, wai-wait there, Major, I-I-I didn’t know about all these statements. I knew about 1 or 2 statements that ha-had been made. And as a consequence, as I said, if it was just 1 or 2 statements then that’s not something that would lead me to distance myself from either my church or my pastor."

WORDS MATTER!...AND OBAMA REALLY SPEAKS HIS MIND!!!

And always remember...as BO once stated, he doesn`t ever want his daughters Punished with a child!

And Please don`t believe any of his Flip-Flops toward the center just to get elected...he`ll go back to being as far left as the far left looneys... as he always has been if elected!...
