Flame Nebula - C14 and IMG42-40

Ron,

another great picture!

What will be the price of that camera when it comes to market? $ 20.000? More?

Looks like the C14 showed some coma at the bottom of the pic, right?

Best CCD camera under $500

Posted By Tom Licha

I recently bought a Olympus C2100UZ for arround $500 second hand. It has a 10x optical zoom and is stabilized. I successfully took pictures of the moon right out of the hand! And it is very good for the planets (coupled to scope) too.

Wes,

that's a great picture! I am an owner of that Olympus too and wonder how you are coupling it to the telescope. Can you tell me please? Eyepiece projection? Adapter?!?

Barlow confusion

Posted By Tom Licha

Hi Michael,

I know the TV barlow. Its OK. I know the TV Powermate. Its great. I have a paper from Takahashi saying the Tak extenders are especially made for Taks. But I know that a Barlow design can be quite universal (while a focal reducer is not!).
