Looking good once again, Paul. BTW, what program are you using for the Mars simulations? As I recall, you used it for 2003 also, but I've forgotten its name (or was it that Japanese website?).

Jupiter and Io, July 4th

Thanks to all for your response.

Robert: The gain was at about 40%.

Paolo: The Astronomik type II filters have built-in IR block. I used them for both this image and for Mars a few days back. My guess is color shift due to low altitude as both were acquired low (Mars at 28 degrees).

Congratulations, Damian! A trip to distant shores that paid off big time. I particularly like how well Jupiter came out. Just goes to show that if the seeing is there, the excellent imagery is there too. I just had a friend who returned from the Dominican Republic, but too much tropical storm activity to try anything unfortunately. Looks like you went at an ideal time before the Atlantic started churning up storms.

Again, another fine set of imagery, congratulations! I was glad when I discovered the high resolution capability of the 9.25 myself a year ago. Really one of the best, under good seeing conditions, in the SCT category although your prior C11 did well also.

Ah, another set of excellent imagery! Great work. I have yet to try the red planet lately with the tropical sytems hanging around.

Nice image, sharp as a razor blade! Yes, a multiple alignment helps. The later Registax can do it although the task looks simpler to do in Iris.
