Nice one, Jim. It looks very crisp for something only 6 degrees above the horizon. Amazing, really.

New Image - NGC 4631 The Whale Galaxy

My condolences on your father. I'm glad to see you putting your hobby and skills to some theraputic use. This is a fine image. I've heard of the whale before, but never actually noticed the whale-shape. It's an apt name. Hope to see more!

Galaxy - NGC 1232

Great colours, Jim. I see a little bit of a gradient from the bottom right, going up almost to the top-left.

What software did you use for Richardson-Lucy deconvolution? It appears to have done a good job highlighting the HII regions.

Great job! This is sure a colourful globular.

Did you do any deconvolution? The reason I ask is that a couple of the brighter stars have "holes" in them, something I get all the time when I try deconvolution using Images Plus. I've pretty much shied away from RL because of this.

Wow, great detail. The "cigar wrapper" shows very well too!

M65 and M66

Great job! Fantastic amount of detail in both. You just need to composite the third member of the group now! One of your best, keep it up!

Nice shot, with lots of detail. There's some vertical banding I see, and the galaxy is contained in a rectangular area that stands out from the border areas. Both are probably easily processed out. Neither detracts from an otherwise great image!
