FSQ 106N Color

Posted By Brian Guerin

When I view the moon with my Radian eyepieces I see a slight fringe of green along the limb of the moon, it only occurs at the edge of the eyepieces FOV. When I center the limb in the FOV the green fringe disappears. Is this normal? I've had the telescope for four months.

Solar Filters For FSQ-106N

Posted By Brian Guerin

Does anyone have any recommendations for a white light solar filter for an FSQ-106N? I can only find them via Thousand Oaks and Kendrick (Baader Film).

Re: EM-200 + PDA Hand Controller

Does anyone have any experience with the PocketSky program by Software Bisque using a PDA, they recommended the iPAQ from HP. I will be using this with an EM-200.

Thanks,
Brian

Panoptic 41mm

Posted By Brian Guerin

Has anyone used this eyepiece with a long focal length telescope such as the Mewlon 250? I'm interested in your opinion and wonder how it compares to the 35mm Panoptic?

Thanks,
Brian

IPAQ + The Sky + EM-200

Posted By Brian Guerin

Does anyone have any experience with this combination, Software Bisque (TheSky Pocket Edition) tells me it works great?

It seems to me, buying this software and the IPAQ PDA would be the same cost or less than the Takahashi Hand Controller?

Plus your options would be greater.

Miyauchi 22X71 NBA

Posted By Brian Guerin

I'm considering buying the Saturn II 22X71 NBA Miyauchi's and would like to hear any opinions. I was told there is only one pair in use in the USA currently and others are now being sold. If anyone has recently bought a pair I would really like to hear your impressions.

Thanks All,
Brian

Re: Modified Mewlon 250

Hi James,

Looks like a great setup, I was just told my 250 would arrive in late May/early June. What is the "modified internal electronic focuser" you mentioned?

FSQ106N +Coronado 90mm

Posted By Brian Guerin

Our club has an FSQ106N and a recently bought and sent back for
repair Coronado H-Alpha 90mm filter. The views are less than
satisfactory in our opinion. We normally can only see slight amounts
of surface detail and solar flares on one third of the the surface,
they are very faint at that. The views are a little better with the
1.6 Extender-Q. Before we contact Coronado again I would like some
opinions from others that may have used this combination. This
February at the Winter Star Party I was seeing incredible views
through the Coronado dedicated 90mm scope. What's up.

Thanks,
Brian Guerin
