His home country of......?

Posted By jeff glancy

Why don't give it a rest. Everyone who thinks you're right is already on board and the rest of us see it as a closed issue. I can understand if you're just tossing red meat to those unwilling to accept reality. But I think, that for most everyone else, it's not interesting; just tedious.

Predictions: Who's is going to win in SC?

Posted By jeff glancy

A lot of the folks I know here favor Newt with Ron Paul a close second. No one is excited about Romney (lots of comparisons to Dubya, although folks do think he's smarter). This is a very conservative rural area. Paradoxically they all want smaller government but most of them are employed by government or receiving a government check of some kind. Go figure.
As an aside, these are some of the nicest people I've ever met.

Time for a Retro Vote!

Posted By jeff glancy

I did vote for him - in spite of the fact that he went kind of nuts - talking about some terrorist type or something planning to disrupt his daughters wedding. That and one of the least political savvy VP picks ever.

TeleVue Sale?

Posted By jeff glancy

I think the 2011 sale was the best in years - especially if anyone was looking for primo ep's. I can't remember when a sale was repeated in the following year. Indeed, I can't remember when there was ever 20% off on the latest and greatest that Tele Vue had to offer. But you never know.

Prediction: Florida?

Posted By jeff glancy

What'll b e more interesting will be the way all those (so called) Florida "conservatives" currently collecting a check and/or services compliments of "The United States of America" will vote. A rare chance for people to risk putting "their" money where their mouth is.

State of the Union Speech

Posted By jeff glancy

I thought it was kind of mediocre. I keep waiting for the "transformational" Obama to appear. I think I may as well wait for Godot. Frankly I liked Mitch Daniels response better. It was nice to hear someone who could mount an opposition without the partisan venom.

Clueless economics....

Posted By jeff glancy

Sounds like something from Bush-Cheney - except the part about taxes. Of course that was the era when deficits didn't count. All it takes for republicans to find religion is not to be in power.

Another Reason For Fed Regulations

Posted By jeff glancy

What am I missing here? I don't see where attempting to scam investors is exclusively a Republican domain and I doubt that there are any regulations that your typical scam artist - democrat or republican; conservative or liberal - loses sleep over.
