Attempt at Shorebirds

Posted By Steve Stonehill

Hi Gang,

I took the camera for its first kayak trip today and of course the wind was NE at 30 and I couldn't get much closer than 150 feet to most of the birds. I took several shots from a drifting kayak and although the focus is soft I'm not totally unhappy with some of the shots. This is an Osprey that took flight as I approached.

Clear Skies,

Productive Day

Posted By Steve Stonehill

Hi Gang,

I shot an entire 256MB card today at Manasquan Reservoir in Howell, NJ. I saw a few bugs I've never seen before, the largest argiope spider I've ever seen, and a bald eagle to top it off! ALL in all, a great day! The first pic is a pair of beetles called Locust Borers.
