Here's a male Hooded Merganser. There was a flock of about 20 of these beauties. We took a large number of shots of them. This is a full size crop. I was using a hand held Digital Rebel with a Canon 400 5.6 lens.

This Northern Shoveler was the only one in a pond that is about 40 acres. We didn't see a female.
