Jupiter GRS 03-21-03

Posted By Wesley Higgins

Hi,

Anybody tired of Jupiter yet :>)

I wanted to get a larger image scale but the
seeing would not allow it .
There is an interesting group of white ovals
just above the dark area in the South Temperate Belt .

255 frames from 650, 10 FPS, 1/33 shutter
ToUcam Pro web cam, Starmaster 14.5

Thanks,

Wes Higgins

Hi,

Imaged 04/10/03 04:43 UT

14.5 " F/4.5 Starmaster Newtonian Reflector working
at F/17.5
ToUcam Pro ,200 frames from 640 , 1/33 shutter , 10FPS

I forgot to rotate the camera to show the bands horizontal
and I don't like to rotate the image during processing because
it blurs the image some what so I left it as is .

I intended to have the GRS more central but the seeing
deteriorated at that time .

My images may be a little more colorful than some that are posted
here , in a large aperture scope like my 14.5 I see a lot of
color on Jupiter visually.

Thanks,

Wes Higgins

Hi Res Image of Copernicus

Posted By Wesley Higgins

Hi,

Between dodging tornados and all the cloudy weather we have had
here in Oklahoma this is the first image I have had to post in over
four weeks .
I intended to image Jupiter but my capture program would not
recognize my camera and by the time I got that fixed Jupiter was
to low so I went for the Moon .

I'm sure this has been discussed before
but there is an interesting almost square formation
at the bottom edge of the image in the middle.

This is a stack of 26 images from 600 , Starmaster 14.5 F/4.3
working at F/17.2 with a Powermate 4x Barlow
Toucam Pro, 10FPS , stacked and processed in Registax .

Any questions or comments pro or con are welcome

Thanks,

Wes Higgins

Hi ,

Another early Mars ,
I am having some difficulty with the
color and limb brightening , I hope to get
an IR blocking filter soon and maybe that will
help with the color .

268 frames from 780 ,Toucam Pro
