Hi,

If anyone wants to process my raw stacked
Saturn image let me know and I would be glad to post

might do a beter job on it than I did .

Thanks,

Shadows in Plato

Posted By Wesley Higgins

Hi,

This is eight images from one Avi of 450 stacked in Registax2 , the images were jumping around a lot so
I could only find 8 good enough to stack .
The detail is not as would like although I think the shadows are interesting and the mountain peak that produces the longest shadow can be see in fair detail if you look closely.
What a sight this tall peak must be if you could be on
the Moon surface close to it .

Webcam

Saturn 10/23/03

Posted By Wesley Higgins

Hi,

I took this Saturn image at 10:35 UT from
Tecumseh Oklahoma the seeing was very steady
with good transparency ,the Encke minima is there
and maybe a little of the Encke division too.
14.5" Starmaster @F/27 , Toucam Pro Webcam , 801 images
from one Avi of 1600 stacked in K3CCDTOOLS , Imagesplus,
Photoshop 7 .

I have some images of Jupiter from the same morning that I do not have processed yet , Jupiter was only 30 degrees in altitude so I don't expect much but I will post them later .

Thanks,

Wes Higgins

Hi,

With Jupiter only 30 degrees in altitude the details
are a little soft or at least that's what I will blame
it on smile

Name that crater :>)

Posted By Wesley Higgins

Hi,

A few days ago I was going through some old Avi's
and I found a moon image from 04/11/03 that I had not
processed , that night (04/11/03) I took images of Clavius and another crater (the one I just found) using a 4x powermate with a Toucam Pro and my 14.5" scope , I processed the Clavius image the next day .

I just now processed the other crater image and I have
spent over two hours trying to figure out what Moon
crater it is , I want to include it in a web site I am
working on but I hate to just call it a Moon crater :>)

Dose anyone out there know the name of this crater,
any help would be appreciated .

Thanks,

Wes Higgins

Storms on Saturn

Posted By Wesley Higgins

Hi,

Here in Oklahoma we are heading into our forth
week of cloudy sky so please excuse my need to feed my imaging habit by re-processing past images :>)

This is an enlarged Saturn globe image from my 10/23/03
Saturn image , it shows two storms that I am very
sure are not image artifacts , Ed Grafton has some
Saturn images from 10/19/03 that also show storms
at about the same location .

Thanks,

Wes Higgins

Encke Division

Posted By Wesley Higgins

Hi,

With all the talk about the Encke division I reprocessed
my 12/24/03 Saturn to try and bring out the Encke ,
the cropped image shows what I believe to be the Encke

Thanks,
