One more Saturn

Posted By Wesley Higgins

Hi,

After about four weeks I finally had some clear
skies and good seeing , I just managed to get about
an hours worth of images before the clouds rolled
in again.

01/19/04 14.5 Starmaster @F/27 , Toucam Pro webcam, stack of 702 from 1800 , 1/33 Sec shutter,65% gain, 20% Gamma

Thanks,

Jupiter 10/16/04

Hi,

The seeing was good but I was imaging through a thin layer of high clouds with poor transparency and had to raise the gain up to about 75% so the image is noisier than I like .
I was just glad to finally get some semi clear skies

14.5 Starmaster @F/30 , Toucam Pro, 654 frames out of 1450,

Thanks,

Wes Higgins

Jupiter 02/27/04

Hi,

CSC had predicted good seeing for the morning of 02/27/04
here in Oklahoma , as it turned out the seeing was
poor .Three hours, 14 Gig and ten frozen fingers later I had only one two minute Avi that was worth keeping and to get anything halfway good out of that Avi I had to hand pick the frames, certainly not as good as I had hoped for .
Not my best image but the shadow and moon are interesting

The Moon Io and it's shadow are in transit.

Starmaster 14 1/2" @F/30 , 224 frames out of 1300 .

Thanks,

Wes Higgins

Hi,

I've been away from the computer for a couple of weeks
and all I can say is WOW! there sure have been some great Jupiter images posted lately.
Due to weather and other things this is the only image I have been able to get in the last three to four weeks,
this image is certainly not up to par with the great images posted lately but hey you have got to go with what the seeing gives you :>)

14.5 Starmaster @F/28 , Toucam Pro, 755/1400 frames,
10FPS, 1/33 shutter, no Gamma, 50% &gain.

Thanks,

Wes Higgins

Hi,

This image of Plato was taken on the same night as my last Jupiter image.
This Plato image is certainly not equal(but what is) to the great image that Mike Wirths (congratulations Mike) posted s few days ago but it ain't bad :>)

14.5 Starmaster , Toucam Pro, 102 frames.
