News Executives Worried

Posted By Jeffrey Counsil

That's because people are not buying the garbage they print or broadcast anymore. It's just another angle to try and push the "fairness doctrine" to force people to pay for their losing agenda. I don't care if it is conservative, liberal, or anything as long as it is the *truth*. I say let them fold, someone will start up another one to take their place.

david elosser said:

"Nearly half of US newspaper and broadcast TV news executives believe their organizations will fold within 10 years unless they find new revenue streams, according to a survey released on Monday."

How can this be? Why are they so gloomy? Why I thought Obama was focused on our economy like a laser beam? Why, he said he created 2 million jobs last year, I'm sure he'll create two or three million more this year. Hey, no reason for all this gloom and doom Mr TV news executive.

Obama vs. the Woman

Posted By Jeffrey Counsil

Only U.S. citizens are afforded the protections of The Constitution, Fed or State, and of course protections under the law. Illegals do not. I just don't see how the "illegal" aspect blows right by those clowns in D.C...

david elosser said:

"Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer on Friday signed into law a controversial bill that seeks to crack down on illegal immigration. The sweeping measure will make it a crime under state law to be in the country illegally. It will also require local police officers to question people about their immigration status if there is reason to suspect they are in the country illegally...President Obama called the bill "misguided" and said it could violate people's civil rights. He said he's instructed the Justice Department to see if it is legal."

So, Obama thinks illegal aliens have the same civil rights as citizens? Of course he does!

Okay Middle Class, hand it over!

Posted By Jeffrey Counsil

Exactly! Where do those fools that supported the "health care" think those billions and billions of $$$ were going to come from? They are just not "income taxes" so it's alright to tax more and more otherwise?
Wake up people, those "allies" are talking like Al Capone. "We will take your money and you will like it. If you don't we'll penalize you"

david elosser said:

"President Barack Obama's Democratic allies in the Senate promise to cut the deficit by almost two-thirds over the next five years, but their budget plan could threaten about 30 million people with tax increases averaging $3,700 in 2012 and after because of the alternative minimum tax."

Obama denies aid to Whites

Posted By Jeffrey Counsil

Gee, and people called Bush a racist for giving all sorts of aid for, yep, predominately black Katrina victims...

david elosser said:

"President Barack Obama has denied aid to individuals affected by March’s massive storms and Gov. M. Jodi Rell said she plans to file a formal appeal...The decision comes just days after Obama approved the state’s request for a “major disaster declaration, which provides financial help to state and municipal governments in Fairfield, Middlesex and New London counties."

The percentage of Blacks in Middlesex and New London counties is less than 6.1%, they are approximately 90% White.

Will Obama condemn this?

" Francisco Perez is in the U.S. illegally and worries that Arizona's law could spread to California.

"I think it should stop completely," he said. "

Well let's see, an admitted ILLEGAL (non-taxpayer, criminal, leech of the system, etc) protests a law that would get him deported. Well gee, here's a thought, Become LEGAL and then you have the *right* to protest! And pay taxes as well. Then say how much you love someone to reach into *your* pocket to give it to someone else. As it stands, these illegal jokers think they have a right to protest U.S. laws! They have no clue, nor any respect for the U.S. laws period.

Coming Attractions

Posted By Jeffrey Counsil

That's pretty much how I believe the Founding Fathers envisioned it when they drew up the Constitution and Bill of Rights. For the people to govern the people. Not a "political party government" governing (controlling) the people. To which their "party" is their agenda, and not the people. Then dividing the nation, the people, by inciting hatred for the "other party". Both the GOP and Dems have lost sight of their purpose - to be stewards of the people's business and security. Now they believe they *own* the people and have raised themselves to be above the people, like gods of some sort.

Andreas Saldivar said:

My solution to fix this for a long time is: No political parties and term limits on congress. Yeah like that will happen anytime soon.

Re: Pelosi urges priests to preach political messa

Posted By Jeffrey Counsil

What part of this is you didn't understand?

"While it's not unusual for clergy to speak about politics from the pulpit, it is uncommon for a lawmaker to openly encourage them to preach a specific policy."

She should have refrained from saying anything, because of ethics. Separation of Church and State. But those politicians aren't often ethical, are they? wink

It seems that Pelosi has been busy urging Catholic priests to preach from their pulpits about immigration reform, encouraging their parishioners to support it.

http://politics.foxnews.mobi/quickPage.html?page=23888&external=279560.proteus.fma

Now, whether you're for or against the Democrats plan for immigration reform, isn't the act of the gov't telling a religious organization to preach a politically-motivated message something that we're not supposed to be doing in this country? Can you imagine the outrage there would have been if GWB had asked Protestant leaders to convince their congregations to support any of his policies? Haven't we all heard about churches being threatened with removal of their tax-exemption status if their pastors failed to cease preaching politically-oriented messages (always ones in favor of the "wrong" party, of course)?

Scott,
her quote includes this is her response when approached by those clergy, not as if she is going out soliciting this. When asked can she help, she tell's thm to help themselves. I wouldn't worry about the Catholic Church banging the pulpit over immigration reform. They have more than enough to deal with.

This is some economic rescue!

Posted By Jeffrey Counsil

Yeah, the "stimulus is working".. Yeah it is, making people dependent on the government handouts. Exactly what they want it to do. And to think, O'bummer & crew haven't even "spent" a lot of that "stimulus". Uh huh, ooo yah...

"The Agriculture Department said 39.68 million people, or 1 in 8 Americans, were enrolled for food stamps during February, an increase of 260,000 from January. USDA updated its figures on Wednesday." HOW CAN THIS BE??? Why Obama just said his stimulus plan was working! Is THIS how it's supposed to work???

"[Food Stamp] enrollment has set a record each month since reaching 31.78 million [the month after Obama was elected president]." Never mind Cash For Clunkers, we all need Cash For Empty Cans! sad

Even CNN thinks its stupid. Go Obama

Posted By Jeffrey Counsil

You've got to be (expletive deleted) kidding me! They are pulling out all the stops before November in panic! They know the Progressives are gonna be out so they'll just fast-track the destruction of this country, then when the rioting starts, O'Bummer will just invoke Martial Law and it'll be the end of this free nation. He'll be the dictator of the U.S. That just sucks. Slapping us hard working Americans with more taxes, and giving it to illegal aliens! What a bunch of horse hockey! It's time to swamp our congressmen to see if they have the gonads to stop the madness.
